I do not recommend ParaConc. It has poor to non-existent automatic alignment - note holes below. It deals very poorly with white space. Instead of buttons like DV or short-cuts like Trados, all actions are done using right mouse button and drop-down menu. Very frustrating! When a new file is added to the corpus, the previously aligned files become unaligned. This is the alignment window. 
The following two screens show how ParaConc displays search results: This is a search on the word sendo in the source texts. You can also search on a word in the target texts or both at the same time. 
Clicking on either the source or target line brings up the appropriate context, but the window is not editable, nor is there a search tool on the target text. Worse, the text runs off the screen and searching for the translation is often very difficult. The "larger context" does not just show the matching (aligned) segment, but rather the entire file with the cursor at the beginning of the matching segment. It would be great if the matching segment was at least highlighted in some way.
